School Meals Update
The price of a school meal changed to £2.20 a day from the start of the summer term (24th April 2017). We have been informed of the price increase from Edwards and Ward, the catering company who provide the meals.
There continues to be no charge to parents of children in Years Reception, 1 and 2 or in receipt of 'Free School Meals'.
The quality of our school meals, which are prepared on site by our team of cooks, provide excellent value for money, providing children with a nutritionally balanced meal in the middle of the day.
A salad bar is available daily and bread, yoghurt and fruit are available in addition to the published meal.
Dear Parent / Guardian,
Menu Amendment for summer 2017
Edwards and Ward has a flexible approach to menu planning, making sure that the needs of the school and students are met. Recently meeting with Students, Head Teachers, Catering Managers and Parent feedback we feel the need to make an immediate change to the current menu. These changes will take effect Week commencing 24th April 2017.
Unfortunately the Sweet and Sour Chicken (Wk1) the BBQ chicken (wk3) and the Beef Tortilla Stack (wk3) have not proved popular. Please see the Menu on your School Website for an updated menu. We have replaced these dishes more to the taste of our young customers with Cottage Pie, Chicken Meatballs and Chicken in Gravy ( or without) Potatoes and Vegetables.
At Edwards and Ward we are committed to providing a nutritious and innovative menu using high quality ingredients. We aim to continuously develop our food and our service to exceed your expectations and we will do this by communicating with both the parents and students.
We are highly passionate about our service and hold regular meetings, with our schools and Student Councils and value all feedback to our service.
