Welcome to St Georges PTFA

St Georges PTFA is a voluntary group of parents, carers, teachers and friends of St Georges School and Nursery, who dedicate some of our spare time and energy to raising money for the school. Everything we do throughout the year is based on our Mission Statement;

To raise funds that will enhance the education, surroundings, and overall school experience for the children of St Georges Church School and Nursery.

Through the numerous fundraising events and activities held during the year, which were so generously supported by parents and families, so far we have been able to fund and support the following;

• The implementation of the Calm Room
• Playground shades to keep children safe and cool during playtimes in the summer
• Christmas gifts for every child
• iPads for use in the classroom

We are currently fundraising to buy a full class set of iPads for the children to use in their lessons. We have already purchased 16 iPads and aim to buy the remaining by the end of 2024, which will have a huge impact on the children’s learning.

Alongside Stacey, Lambroulla and Louisa, we have a fabulous team of members who make up our PTFA. As members, they attend regular meetings during the year (fuelled by biscuits and treats!) where we plan and organise all the events. They also attend many of the events to help ensure the children have the best time!

The success of St Georges PTFA depends on the goodwill and support of parents, friends and teachers. We understand everyone has busy lives and not everyone can commit to being an official member. Any help you can offer; baking a cake for one of our sales, selling refreshments at one of our events or throwing your finest shapes at a disco, would be greatly appreciated!
