1st July 2021
We had SOOO much fun with our ‘Who lives under the sea?’ themed day, in July! We made, and ate, fruit sea creatures; created ‘sea’ art using watercolours, oil pastels and salt; made sea creatures out of various different materials and lots more…🐙🦑🐡🐠🐟🐬🐳🦀🐋 Loads of brilliant learning took place and lots of cries of “this is the best day ever!”.

Year 2 2016-2017
On Friday 9th June 2017 we went to St Mark's School, along with children from Castle Batch, for the annual Y2 singing festival. We had a brilliant time; singing all the songs that we have been practising over the last few months. Thank you to Anne Clough from the North Somerset Music Service for organising everything. The theme of this year's festival was 'Summer Sing' and we all enjoyed dressing up in our bright, summery clothing (even if the weather wasn't very bright and summery on the day!)
On Wednesday 7th June 2017 we visited Weston SeaQuarium to launch our 'under the sea' theme. As you can see from the photos, we had a brilliant time and are now all really excited to start our projects on the sea creatures we saw!
Whilst we were at the SeaQuarium we also practised our photography skills; taking photos of the creatures we saw with our ipads. Miss Muff thinks the pictures we took are fantastic. Take a look at some of them here...
On Friday 3rd February 2017 we had a Victorian day to celebrate our theme 'Who wants to be a Victorian? We had a fantastic time learning all about Victorian schools - have a look at some of the things we got up to...
On Wednesday 14th December 2016 we visited Beach Lawns Care Home to sing our nativity songs. The children were a credit to the school - they sang beautifully, were very well behaved and chatted to the residents so sensibly and kindly.
We had a brilliant time at Noah's Ark on Monday 12th December! We fed the bears their Christmas lunch, saw lots of animals and even performed in a nativity. Thank you to all our parents, carers, grandparents and friends for coming to watch us - we hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did! See below for lots of photos...
